There’s a stigma revolving around the disabled community that causes them to be seen as lesser human beings. When we look at the facts, ninety-six percent of people who live with a chronic illness have invisible symptoms. This begs the question of why society is so quick to judge others based on common perceptions. Dignity Health aims to change these misconceptions and debunk the stigma by raising awareness for people with hidden illnesses and showing how an illness does not define who you are.
